First off, I’m quite lazy. When it comes to most things, procrastination is my best friend. I’m all for planning out big life moments, but for the important things I need to get done quickly, I’ll put them off until last minute. It’s only until I started to see the benefits of taking the time to prioritize my goals that has really aided me in having a clear mind and motivated spirit. For my blog, school, personal life, and anything else that I need encouragement towards, here are some of the main points I like to focus on when keeping motivated.

1. Work towards positivity. Being a positive person might be something that comes natural to a few people, but in my opinion, it’s something everyone has to work at. It’s putting forth a constant effort. Being in the right frame of mind has really helped me avoid any self doubt and see the outcome I wish to achieve. If for you that means going to Church, spending time with family, or having a laugh with friends, it’s the little things that can spur positivity in all aspects of your life.

2. Create small, attainable goals. Sometimes looking at the big picture of what you’re trying to achieve can feel overwhelming and can in turn, force you to give up just thinking about it. Making a check list with step by step goals helps me feel organized and not stressed out by all the little tasks ahead.

3. Have the utmost respect and confidence for yourself and in yourself. You are the only thing standing in the way of fulfilling your goals. No one else is holding you back and if you think someone is, then you need to reevaluate who you’re surrounding yourself with. One the best quotes I’ve heard lately is that “the best way to acquire confidence is doing exactly what you’re afraid to do.” I don’t know about you, but completing something that I was at first hesitant about, only made the next task that much easier.

4. Surround yourself with motivated people. People who want more. People who share common interests. People who are both influential and creative. These are the types of people who will encourage you to go after something you want.

5. Create a clean environment. This can seem like an irrelevant task, but decluttering your life can make a large impact. What’s stopping you from developing momentum? A cluttered living space, a chaotic household, unhealthy habits? Your entire life contributes to your progress and wellbeing. Focus on your daily habits first.

6. Track your progress. Focusing on how far you’ve come can really make a difference in how far you’ll go. Taking a positive notice on your achievements will drive you to success and keep you motivated!

Hope you all have an amazing week! xoxo, Hayley
