Having lived near/in Orange County for 22 years, I’ve experienced so many beautiful places to see and explore.  After posting A Foodies Guide To SoCal, I thought I would talk about Orange County in specific since I’ve lived here the longest. Here are some of my favorite places that anyone who visits should check out.

Little Corona Del Mar Beach: A trip to the beach shouldn’t feel claustrophobic with people, cars, traffic, ect. like so many beaches tend to feel. This hidden gem is anything but chaotic. It’s the perfect escape from reality as it feels like your own private beach because it is a small, secluded section of Corona Del Mar Beach. After walking down a few steep stairs off the side of a cliff filled with homes overlooking the ocean, you’ll reach a cluster of tide pools and the perfect place to have lunch, wade in the ocean, or tan.

Laguna Beach: Probably one of the cleanest beaches I’ve ever been to. Perfectly manicured sidewalks, the softest sand, tall mansion filled cliffs, and numerous high end restaurants, Laguna Beach is the perfect amount of serenity. This city is known for its artsy culture and thriving restaurant options to choose from for every palate.

Downtown Fullerton: This tree lined street is the perfect place for a weekend brunch. Plenty of boutiques and vintage shops to choose from, it’s the best place to spend a few hours site seeing.

Disneyland in Anaheim: If you haven’t been to Disneyland once in your life, this would be my first stop. I also recommend getting a pass to both parks while you’re here because with the newly remodeled California Adventure park, they are each an outstanding experience in themselves.

A Frozen Banana from Dad’s in Balboa Island: From the numerous boutiques and eateries, to the quaint cottage lined streets, Balboa Island is the perfect way to spend your weekend.

A cresnut donut from DK’s Donuts in Tustin: A slight spin on the traditional craze of cronuts, my favorites include the Nutella, bacon and maple, and strawberry custard cresnuts.

Burke Williams Day Spa- For a relaxing experience, I suggest treating yourself to a full body massage at Burke Williams. The best spa I’ve ever been to because the variety of options ranging from beauty treatments, hot stone massages, and full body wraps.
