I usually don’t spend a lot of time making breakfast unless there’s someone else around to make it for. These pancakes are absolutely perfect for guests staying over or to surprise a loved one before they wake up! They are my favorite type of pancakes because of course there’s chocolate in them, but also because they are extremely fluffy and melt in your mouth good!
Ingredients (for 3 people):
- 1/2 cup and 1 tbsp milk
- 1 tbsp and 1.5 tsp white vinegar
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flower
- 1 tbsp and 1.5 tsp white sugar
- 3/4 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 3/4 egg
- 1 tbsp and 1.5 tsp melted butter
- cooking spray
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Step 1: Combine milk and vinegar in a bowl and set aside for five minutes to sour.
Step 2: Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a bowl. Mix in the egg and butter into the soured milk bowl. Pour the flour mixture into the wet ingredients and whisk until all lumps are gone.
Step 3: Heat a large skillet over medium heat and coat with cooking spray. Pour cupfuls of batter and top each pancake with some chocolate chips. Flip over each pancake when you see bubbles appear.
Step 4: Top with powdered sugar, a few chocolate chips, and whip cream to go that extra indulgent mile!
